Digital games were created to develop early Spanish literacy and math skills in children from 4 to 5 years old through digital games. The study used a randomized controlled trial to determine the effectiveness of the games on the literacy and math skills of the children who participated in the program. The results were evaluated with children who completed at least the first 18 games of the didactic sequence (n=470). In math, 4- and 5-year-olds achieved relative gains between 74% and up to 314%. 4-year-olds who played the literacy games had a relative gain of up to 404%. We did not find a statistically significant gain on 5-year-old children who played the literacy games.
