This study seeks to investigate, using a narrative research design, the relationship between career and life satisfaction and education level. The impetus for this study centers on the idea that having a post-secondary education, specifically a graduate degree, leads to career and life satisfaction. The three research questions under investigation in this study are as follows: (1)
What influence does post-secondary education have on career and life satisfaction among Black
graduates?; (2) What other factors (such as professional experience, salary, race, gender, and
family history) impact career and life satisfaction?; (3) What post-secondary approach (i.e.,trade/vocation, baccalaureate, advanced degrees) yields higher career and life satisfaction?
