This study interprets the narrative that Black educators in the K-20 educational pipeline need to be continuously compared to one another when discussing the educational support advancements of Black students. Employing Black placemaking and Black college-going, this study highlights how Black educators work within institutional and socioeconomic policies and cultures to best support Black students. Navigating the precarious educational climate, the narratives of Black educators in this study suggest the need to engage Black educators when implementing and evaluating institutional and socioeconomic policies and practices.
