This study shares results from an international teacher professional development program involving English language educators and their development of reflective capacity. It explores the ways in which the English language educators in Uzbekistan came to understand and implement reflection as part of their professional learning to support interactive approaches to teaching English through English. It considers the deeper understandings that emerged for both educators and project faculty during this three-year grant-funded program that included critical reflection development with international English language teachers. Results underscore the importance of embedding systematic reflective development and accompanying research to advance understandings of how faculty can support the development of critical reflection in cross-cultural and cross-linguistic international settings.
