This exploratory path analysis examines influences on first-generation Latina/o college student’s (N = 246) intentions to seek different university services for support with emotional or psychological distress. Specific variables of interest include student’s own personal belief towards using mental health services, their perceived parental support for seeking help, student’s sense of belonging, and their connectedness to university staff, faculty, and teaching assistants. This analysis includes three separate outcome variables, (intentions to seek help from CAPS, EOP and other Student Services) to better examine the different paths students might explore in seeking help. Findings reveal that positive beliefs towards help-seeking, parental support, sense of belonging and connectedness to university employees significantly have a positive effect on intentions to seek services.
