Abstract

This study aims to explore the influential factors that affect applying to, admittance to, and enrollment in a college through early action, compared to those same outcomes for regular decision. In addition, the effect of early action admissions on student outcomes in first-year colleges is examined. This study uses propensity score weighting analysis to analyze a completed dataset from a selective public university. The findings of this study may provide new insights into this issue for researchers, administrative institutions, and policy makers.
