Grounded in endarkened feminist epistemology, four Black women doctoral students explore, question, and share experiences in the academy. We act within their scholarship as change agents, remembering that they are citizens first, then scholars within the larger collective of humanity. Building from collaborative narrative autoethnography, which pulls together commonalities and differences from the stories of researchers within their sociocultural context. Endarkened feminist epistemology draws upon Black feminist thought (BFT), centering on the difference in Black women’s ways of being and knowing throughout lived experience and reality. From the foundation of Black feminist thought, toward endarkened feminist epistemology, accompanied by process-based inquiry within ABAR, and the communal praxis of endarkened feminist ethnography we engaged in dialogue that informed our co-constructed questioning.
