This paper presents a telling case study of one cohort of STEM preservice students
(n=21) enrolled in a math teaching methods course and their engagement with an innovative learning environment, mixed-reality virtual live simulation (M-RVLS), designed to provide novel learning experiences to PSTs in conjunction with the methods courses in a Multiple Subject Credential Program. Specifically, we intentionally sought and traced the PSTs’ perspectives over one semester on the effects of their engagement with the M-RVLS in developing their profession practices in becoming teachers.
