When we think about college teaching, how many of us think about the souls of our students as central to our teaching aims? In this chapter, I explain why nourishing our students’ souls is so important. Yet, many of us college teachers contribute to diminishing Black, Indigenous, and other racially minoritized students’ souls through what and how we teach. I then offer an alternative: soul-nourishing teaching through our curriculum and pedagogy. To conclude, I acknowledge some of the challenges in this teaching, particularly white rage. Throughout this chapter, I offer college teachers reflective questions to encourage critical reflexivity about ourselves as teachers, our curriculum, and our pedagogy.
