Sat, April 15, 2:50 to 4:20pm CDT (2:50 to 4:20pm CDT), Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, Floor: 7th Floor, Grand Ballroom Salon III

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the literature available on the Web of Science on inclusive education in the context of higher education through a bibliometric analysis, conducted at two levels. Results reveal that: 1) academic interest has increased in recent years, especially from 2015 to date; 2) production is concentrated in a few countries; and 3) there are low levels of scientific collaboration between authors and countries. Latin American authors tend to publish more in local journals, with a lower impact factor, compared with their Spanish and Portuguese counterparts; and there is a clear preference for studying different aspects related to disability and special educational needs.
