Rapid Automatized Naming Training Among Chinese-English Bilingual Children With Dyslexia: A Single-Case Study

Fri, April 14, 2:50 to 4:20pm CDT (2:50 to 4:20pm CDT), SwissĂ´tel Chicago, Floor: Lucerne Level, Alpine I

Abstract

The prevalence of dyslexia is common across different language systems. However, bilingual dyslexia is often overlooked because adults would assume those children are just struggling with a new language. Early identification and earlier intervention could help dyslexic children improve their reading skills and confidence in language learning. This single-case design study demonstrated the efficacy of a RAN intervention in improving reading performance for those children with bilingual dyslexia.
