Using Arts-Based Approaches: From Teaching to Data Generation to (Re)Presentation

Abstract

The purpose of this presentation is to explore possibilities for incorporating arts-based approaches in both teaching and research contexts to build upon current practices. To do so, we plan to explore the use of images and collaging in different ‘phases’ of the teaching and research process. This will include a focus on collaging for data generation, inquiry and (re)presentation in research as well as a look at some pedagogical activities used in college/university settings.
