Service-Learning in Adapted Physical Education: A Proposed Conceptual Model for Community-Based Research

Abstract

The purpose of this presentation is to (a) problematize the inherent biases in research on service-learning programming for people experiencing disability in physical activity settings and (b) discuss this conceptual model that explores service-learning, and research thereof, as a co-construction of new knowledge between preservice professionals and the disability community.
