Abstract

The goal of this research is to explore various studies covering science PD, including STEM PD, and their perceived effectiveness for teachers. Different PD characteristics will be analyzed to see how they affect different outcomes and goals of PD programs. This review examines studies of PD carried out in K-12 STEM education. We conducted an electronic search using the four databases, ERIC, PsycINFO, Web of Science, and EduSource. Eligible studies have been identified, coded, and are currently undergoing statistical analysis to assess their effect size. This will allow the researchers to see what qualities of PD programs are more desirable for PD designers and be used to design PD that specifically targets teacher and student needs.
