With the nuances of policy re-thinking in globalization in education, the paper aims to analyze a) policy borrowing and policy learning in the NEP 2020 and b) equity gaps in the Indian school system in pedagogical and curricular contexts. A document analysis drawn from Critical Policy Discourse (CDA) approach and focus group approach is employed to analyze India's National Education Policy NEP 2020. The policy analysis in a complex education system like India suggests balancing local, national, and global education in a culturally linguistically diverse nation.
