Session Type: Virtual Symposium
Teacher environmental and sustainability education (TESE) research is relatively new (Evans et al., 2017). Five international TESE scholars from Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, and Turkiye will interrogate their research in lieu of the appeal of international researchers, who have systematically reviewed TESE research to identify future research themes, to: make TESE program and courses more comprehensive and integrated, evaluate the effectiveness of TESE pedagogies, and strengthen TESE’s theoretical base through continued research. In lieu of the AERA Call to consider the “consequentiality” of our research and “truth,” presenters will consider the essential sites of TESE research and how they might engage dialogically with communities throughout all steps of the research process.
