Abstract

This panel (re)thinks and (re)casts text selection for liberated futures. We draw from a plurality of culturally-situated histories, epistemologies, and frameworks to invite a shift in approaches to text selection for English Language Arts educators and teacher educators. Together, the four papers that comprise this panel advance that text selection can never be divorced from the students for whom those texts are selected.
