Session Type: Symposium
This panel is formed of a faculty member and a group of graduate students who joined together in a graduate course on Global Climate Change and Education in a university to disrupt the hierarchical thinking about humanity and nature, and form a learning community to take actions that connect global climate change challenges with local issues such as rampant capitalist greed attempting to destroy nature right on their campus. The panel is featured by faculty and student voices; more importantly, what the students took up as their own way to connect with nature and act by giving voices to a forest that is in danger of being cut down. Students’ research as a result of the course are also presented.
