Abstract

Recent events have called attention to inclusion efforts. Identifying ways to promote an inclusive climate in higher education continues to be a challenge in several areas of educational research. Assessment is one domain where equity has been called into question. In this symposium, we will examine potential sources of error in assessment that could disadvantage examinees. In examining the processes used, we will examine whether the models we have for the collection of validity evidence facilitate research that addresses issues of equity.
