Session Type: Roundtable Session
Researchers in this symposium aim to share the stories of teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic and their experience of mental health and coping. The first session is focused on how administrative support and teachers’ perceived self-efficacy during the COVID-19 pandemic impacted their experience of stress and wellness. The second session discusses the role of teachers’ psychological help-seeking behaviors on their professional and overall quality of life. The third session describes the experiences of mothers who are teachers in middle and high schools and how they navigated the evolving challenges of balancing their responsibilities as mothers and teachers. Results emphasize the need for practices and policies that are in support of teachers’ mental health, wellness, and coping.
