Session Type: Symposium
We know that feedback makes a difference (Hattie, 2012). The question is how to mobilize and inspire teachers to make that difference, not only based on research but also on lived experience in the classroom. Accessibility of feedback moves, strategies, and tactics count. This symposium uses different lens/frameworks to unpack the complexity of activating teachers and students to engage in systematic and sustainable feedback practices. We present several formative feedback frameworks (MDFF, IMFB, MISCA, and FARROP) for better understanding the complexity, dimensions, and facets of feedback practices across systems. By examining these frameworks, we offer new perspectives on current feedback practices across different ecosystems of assessment reform.
