Session Type: Symposium
How can educators design and deliver digital learning support that help college students acquire the knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to succeed with higher education and beyond? Five scholars will introduce the topics, design, and delivery methods they employ in their digital program that promotes self-regulated learning. The session is designed to highlight the benefits of such digital supports, and to focus researchers and practitioners on (1) the design features that influence how tools can support learning (coverage, dosage, delivery, and institutional and course context) and (2) evidence of their efficacy. Panelist discussion will focus audience members on the ways designs were influenced by learners’ needs, contextual affordances and constraints, outcomes designers desired, and open discussion with audience will follow.
