Session Type: Symposium
One of the most certain things about the COVID-19 pandemic and evolving threats to psychological and physical safety in schools nationwide has been that the experiences of stress and anxiety are felt differently within and across communities these past two years. This session unpacks these differences on the basis of context, co-occurrence, and race, from a data set of over 20,000 school personnel who participated in a free course on managing emotions in times of uncertainty and stress from 2020- 2022. Studies share novel methodologies and insights to inform evidence-based policy and practice in the service of educator wellness and respond to the urgency to ensure whole child flourishing by understanding and improving the experiences of the whole school community.
