Session Type: Symposium
The objective of this symposium is to describe feedback comments that teachers, peers, and students produce, delving deeper into their complexity and examining their nature and latent structure. Teacher-to-teacher peer comments, teacher responses to differential types of student feedback, as well as teacher emotions when providing feedback are also explored. This session brings together an international team of experts who will share empirical studies that examined feedback characteristics, as well as teacher affect elicited in the process of feedback reception and delivery. Scholars from the US, UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain will discuss studies from both pedagogical and psychological perspectives, offering avenues for future research and suggesting ways for practical implementation.
