Session Type: Working Group Roundtable
In 2019, Christian education leaders at the Global Christian School Leadership Summit identified financial sustainability as the most pressing challenge facing Christian schools today. The familiar pressures of enrollment and fundraising were exacerbated by the global COVID-19 pandemic, but during the pandemic school leaders also added teacher mental health and well-being as some of their greatest concerns. This session will present key findings from four papers of mixed methods that examine the long-term viability of private faith-based schools. Together, these papers identify key school practices, as well as public policies, that may help ensure the sustainability of Christian schools into the future.
