Session Type: Structured Poster Session
Standpoint theory (Harding, 2015) calls for diversity in research endeavors to collectively cultivate more complete understandings of the world. This session brings together research teams that operate both as collectives in five national contexts (Italy, Spain, Uganda, Uruguay, and the U.S.) and as contributors to an international network of university and community partners. Authors illustrate how they cultivate dialogue among people from diverse social and cultural positions in their research sites, in projects that are aimed not just at understanding the world, but actively intervening to support the learning and development of young people who have been marginalized by society.
