The Future of Researcher Socialization: The Pursuit of Truth and the Role of Research Teams

Abstract

This working group roundtable aims to bring together postsecondary education research teams interested in systematically examining research team culture. The session's goal is to distill insights that enable research teams to continuously evolve and develop the research teams’ culture to manifest supportive, healthy, and fulfilling academic socialization and researcher preparation experiences. In addition, the teams and attendees will collaborate to develop a list of policy and practice implications and a research agenda to more deeply explore the important but understudied role of research teams.
