Session Type: Symposium
In Spring 2022, M.A. Scholars in the course Chicana/os in Education wrote an assignment titled, an “Epistemology of Education Paper”(EEP) informed by Rebecca Burciaga’s pedagogy and research. Scholars were tasked to reflect on their education trajectories, consequential truth speaking, as locations of knowledge (Cruz, 2016). In this panel, scholars will present their individual papers to illustrate the impact of their EEP papers as evidence of the healing potential of a professor's use of praxis centered on students (hooks, 2014). In addition to their EEP, the authors will share the beginning stages of their student led anthology on how they are engaging pedagogy by “testimoniando” experiences with research, theories, practice, and policies in local and national contexts.
