Session Type: Symposium
In the past two decades there have been considerable advances in latent variable modeling techniques over the last two decades, including advances in longitudinal and mixture models with the focus on seeking true population heterogeneity. The five papers in this symposium cover a range of modeling extensions, applications, and simulation work with the common theme of better understanding true population heterogeneity through mixture modeling.
Integrative Data Analysis With Mixture Models: Person-Centered Approaches With Individual Participant-Level Data Across Multiple Studies - Katherine E. Masyn, Georgia State University; Rashelle Musci
Investigating Sample Size Requirements of Multilevel Growth Mixture Models via Monte Carlo Simulations - Alexandria P. Winstead, University of Massachusetts - Lowell; Rose Holder; Yan Wang, University of Massachusetts - Lowell; Jiabin Shen
Understanding the Performance of Random Intercept Latent Transition Analysis Under Varied Conditions and Competing Models - Delwin Carter, University of California - Santa Barbara; Karen L. Nylund-Gibson, University of California - Santa Barbara
A Demonstration of the Utility of Latent Profile Analysis for Critical Quantitative Frameworks - Netasha Pizano, University of California - Santa Barbara; Karen L. Nylund-Gibson, University of California - Santa Barbara; Marsha M. Ing, University of California - Riverside
Class Enumeration in Mixture Modeling: A Summary of Recommendations and a Look Forward - Dina Naji Arch, University of California - Santa Barbara; Karen L. Nylund-Gibson, University of California - Santa Barbara
