Session Type: Symposium
With the heterogeneity of refugee newcomers across the world, many researchers in different locations are engaged in research partnerships to offer meaningful recommendations that inform decision-making about theory, practice and policies. With their commitment to equitable and humanizing education for refugee newcomers, the presenters in this interactive symposium address how researchers across different trajectories work as advocates and allies through community partnerships with various stakeholders for equitable education. Each presenter offers research-based evidence of collaboration in a particular educational setting, sharing insights, strategies, and challenges that inform theory, practice, and policy-making.
