Abstract

A persistent question in mathematics education is how to make mathematics more relevant to a range of learners, but particularly those who are minoritized. This set of papers examines culturally relevant and responsive mathematics that utilizes social justice lessons, TikTok, personalized and interest-based learning, and math walks. A math relevance scale is theorized.
