Abstract

This set of papers pushes the field to continue to bring race to the forefront in mathematics education. One paper explores how teachers responded to a district's adoption of race-conscious approaches to equity. Other papers examine how teachers' perspectives on race might shift, for example, through counterstories from Black mathematicians, or by learning to see whiteness and male-domination in mathematics classrooms and the field. Students criticality is also assessed through social justice tasks.
