Graduate Student Council Division F Fireside Chat: Doing Educational History in the Face of Archival Silences

Abstract

The Division F (History and Historiography) invites members of AERA to be in community with three historians of education for a panel discussion on researching the history of education in the face of archival silences. This panel brings three women of color early career scholars who have employed different methodologies to tell community histories of traditionally marginalized groups. Join us as we engage in a conversation of what it means to do historical research that needs to be told when traditional institutional archives do not hold the materials we need.
