Abstract
This session will explore how using social media to translate and debate truth has real consequences in the world. We explore the ways that social media serves as both an echo chamber that reverberates and reinforces existing perspectives and a truth excavating mechanism in the midst of diverse perspectives that converge for the purpose of moving towards consensus and truth. Some examples of social media platforms we explore are Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
