Division C New Directions: The Dissertation and Beyond

Session Type: Invited Speaker Session

Abstract

Division C highlights learning and instruction focused research and encourages early scholars to continue to research learning contexts and instructional pedagogies. This session directly aims to support graduate students as they journey towards the finish line (the dissertation and beyond). The purpose of this New Directions Panel is to 1. present recent dissertation projects of division C graduates and doctoral candidates as well as 2. introduce and connect graduate students to recent graduates who now have academia related positions (e.g. postdoc, researcher, faculty, etc.). Students should leave this session confident because of their exposure to successful dissertation projects and discussion opportunities with recent graduates with academic positions.
