Americas Education Research Network Dialogue 2: Priorities for the Future of Education Research in the Americas

Abstract

Organizations of education research in the Americas are increasingly acknowledging that to contribute to the production of “Consequential Education Research in Pursuit of Truth" it is urgent to strengthen interdisciplinary and collaborative projects within and across the region. In this panel, representatives from four of the most influential educational research organizations in the Americas, will discuss the central theme of AERA’s 2023 and how researchers in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and the USA engage with broader social, economic, and political issues that affect education. This dialogue will involve examining the role of education researchers and their organizations in promoting educational and social justice and addressing global challenges such as climate change and sustainable development.
