Abstract

The purpose of the study is to explore the perceptions of Saudi undergraduate students’ experiences related to the swift transition to online learning as a result of the COVID-19 global pandemic. Findings highlighted positive aspects of online learning including cost-effectiveness, flexibility, accessibility, and improved time management skills. The negative aspects of online learning include decreased interactive learning, motivation, discipline, and academic success. Furthermore, positive factors of traditional learning include learning in an interactive environment, increased motivation and social interactions, greater quality of feedback from instructors, and improved academic discipline and success. The negative factors of traditional learning include reduced flexibility, availability of resources, and time management skills.
