The aims of this study were to first, examine the relationship between racial microaggressions and alcohol use and second, explore the moderating properties of perceived social support on that relationship. A sample of 253 racially diverse college students were administered self-report measures of racial microaggressions, alcohol use, and perceived social support. Their responses were analyzed using linear regression. The findings indicated that racial microaggressions was a statistically significant positive predictor of alcohol use and certain domains of social support moderated that relationship.
