The purpose of this study is to explore the perspectives of university faculty implementing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in their courses to meet the needs of the increasingly diverse student population. While research demonstrates the impact of UDL on the outcomes of a diverse student population at the P-12 level, the postsecondary level lags in both implementation and research. The present study fills this need through a professional development UDL train-the-trainers model to explore the following research question: What are faculty perspectives on UDL implementation? The findings indicate an increase in positive attitudes and actions towards diversity and inclusion following UDL professional development. These results suggest that the training program was effective.
