This case study explored caregivers' digital literacy self-efficacy and its connection to their academic involvement with their primary grade students during distance learning in a public elementary school in the Inland Empire. Data were collected through semistructured interviews with open-ended questions in person or via Zoom. The findings revealed that caregivers' digital literacy self-efficacy posed several challenges and difficulties. However, it did not negatively impact their involvement in their students' distance learning. The study's findings inform district and school personnel on how to provide training for caregivers and maintain clear communication. It also guides districts on how taking the time to plan and create structure can give caregivers a sense of comfort in knowing schools have a plan in place.
