Sun, April 14, 3:05 to 4:35pm, Pennsylvania Convention Center, Floor: Level 200, Exhibit Hall B

Abstract

When analyzing stress factors in educational settings, noise, "unwanted sound" emerges as a major concern, especially in urban areas. Despite extensive research on the effects of noise on children in educational settings, there is a dearth of literature on the impact of noise on students with disabilities in Turkey's public schools. Through an accurate understanding of these effects, students' educational and learning processes can be significantly enhanced. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to examine the impact of ambient noise on students in inclusive settings by measuring noise levels in educational environments, conducting individual interviews with teachers and education specialists, and observing school and classroom settings.
