Abstract

The following theoretical paper examines the reciprocal relationship and vital importance that exists amongst qualitative inquiry, academic freedom, and democracy. Next, the paper takes a closer look at alarming trends currently underway in the United States that gravely call into question its democracy’s health. The paper concludes with a variety of propositions for resistance and an urgent call to action.
