This study presents a novel approach to assess the quality of doctoral dissertations using a mixed methods design, specifically the convergent parallel model. The research initially focuses on the qualitative data derived from the context, research problem statement, and purpose of the study within a doctoral dissertation. As an example of quantitative data, the study examines the pairwise comparisons of self-confidence in creating a database based on years of experience using a questionnaire. The qualitative analysis employs semantic analysis and thematic analysis techniques, revealing a clear alignment between the identified themes and the quantitative analysis evidence. These findings highlight the effectiveness of the mixed methods approach in comprehensively evaluating the quality of doctoral dissertations.
