This research is motivated by the goal to illuminate what equity-oriented leadership looks like in practice, with attention to identifying the equity-oriented actions leaders can take related to strengthening staff capacity for justice. To achieve this goal, within this research I draw upon interviews with 27 equity-oriented leaders working across seven school districts to present a practice-grounded framework of the key domains of equity-oriented leadership practice. In previous research (Author, 2023) I have broadly outlined this framework; within this paper I center on the Strengthening Staff Capacity for Justice domain of work. By centering on one domain of work, I am able to provide more contextualized examples and detail than in previous research that overviewed the entirety of the framework.
