Fri, April 12, 7:45 to 9:15am, Pennsylvania Convention Center, Floor: Level 200, Exhibit Hall B

Abstract

Insufficient research exists on care-centered transformational coaching with teachers. This qualitative case study examined two teachers’ lived experiences and the impact of care-based transformational coaching on problem-solving. Creating warm, caring environments aligned with social and racial justice is crucial in education. Supporting teachers in resolving challenges enhances their ability to foster supportive settings for students. Findings reveal the transformative power of coaching, resulting in more caring and student-centered environments. Care-oriented coaching empowers teachers to navigate challenges, recognize students' circumstances, and create meaningful educational possibilities. Reflective activities promote self-reflection and well-being. This research contributes to advancing the field of care-centered transformational coaching, benefiting teachers and their ability to address challenges and create positive teaching experiences for students.
