This collaborative self-study among three female faculty members investigated the utilization of the PERMA model in peer mentoring to enhance the professional and personal well-being of all group members. Grounded in positive psychology, the PERMA model encompasses Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Achievements as key dimensions of well-being (Seligman, 2011). Thematic analysis was employed to analyze diverse data sources, including group chats, weekly Zoom meeting notes, and reflections. The findings support the effectiveness of the PERMA framework in woman-woman mentoring, as exemplified by specific instances for each dimension. The interplay among the five dimensions is also elucidated. Practical implications and directions for future research are discussed. This study contributes to applying the PERMA model in mentoring to promote well-being.
