This study examines how caring teacher-student relationships present in elementary performing and visual arts classrooms. Nel Nodding’s ethic of care serves as both the definition for a caring relationship and the theoretical construct on which the research is based. Eisner’s research method of educational criticism and connoisseurship was utilized to conduct the research.
