The study aims to examine the experiences of immigrant teacher candidates in Teacher Education Programs in the US. Employing Ray’s (2019) theory of racialized organization and Crenshaw’s (1989) intersectionality theory the findings from this narrative research indicate the racial dynamics within teacher preparation, the challenges aspiring immigrant teachers face as well the organizational barriers they encounter, thereby providing implications for the need of inclusive and diverse pedagogy and training.
