Qualitative comparative case study unpacks how collegians of African descent facilitate collective belongingness engagement within a rural Hispanic-serving institution setting. Findings indicated participants’ educational experiences within rural environments informed their Black-life making about the importance of community. Emergent themes: 1) Rural as Extended Space; and 2) Rural as Perpetually People.
