Sun, April 14, 11:25am to 12:55pm, Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, Floor: Level 4, Room 408

Abstract

The System of Competency-Based Curriculum Design (SCCD) framework was developed by the Center for K12 Curriculum Studies and Teacher Education at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, in response to the demand for competency-based curriculum and educational reform. To evaluate the effectiveness of the SCCD framework, a research tool was created, comprising five subscales with a total of 25 items, along with five additional items measuring acceptance of the framework. The study involved 455 participants who attended SCCD training workshops. The research findings validate the reliability and validity of the SCCD scale, confirming its theoretical foundation. Teachers from diverse backgrounds unanimously recognized the SCCD concept. The study concludes with recommendations based on the obtained results.
